Collaborative and transparent
KPMG’s new offices in Aberdeen, Hong Kong represent a forward-thinking Workplace of the Future. It’s a nine- floor workplace designed to embrace adaptability and community interaction, fostering an agile work environment.
To define our approach in designing the signage for the KPMG Workplace, we worked closely with the lead architects of the project to understand the function of the multi-level offices and how the broad spectrum of activities interface with the users of the multi-floor work environment.
Through our study of the space planning and architectural design, we designed a signage system that integrates with the behaviour-led work environment to leverage KPMG’s collaborative dynamics.
Creating a visual dialogue
Throughout all areas that visitors and staff will use, Springtime introduced a graphic dialogue by using coloured semi-transparent decals, seamlessly combined with the glass panels to create an intuitive signage that communicate as visual cues in wayfinding.
We designed three dimensional graphic elements using triangular acrylic strips and wedges to represent linear accents that provide an immediate sense of the KPMG brand identity. As a result, we established a familiar signage interface to enable users navigate the workplace with ease and arrive at destinations stress-free.
Embracing the future
In line with the brand guidelines of KPMG, we thoughtfully crafted the signage graphics system to comply with the brand identity requirements. The signs for each floor are strategically colour-coded to represent the key attributes and capture the company’s identity in the work environment, empowering the KPMG brand in its way forward to the future of the company’s workplace.
